Red Velvet D.I.Y Dress Up Project One - Hair Bow

I have now completed the first two project in my red velvet sewing course and I am pretty proud of myself.

I decided to share a couple of pictures of my first project with you (I am yet to take pictures of the second one!).

My first project was a simple hair bow - it didn't take long to make and I think it looks fabulous! I am rather in love with the cute kitty fabric which I bought at Wellington Underground Market at Frank Kitts Park. It wasn't cheap - but it was totally worth it.

Here's a photo of the hair bow in action - I think it looks pretty fabulous. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Meg - Its a pity your hair is too short for a bow as I do have enough fabric for one more^^

Helga - I love the way you rock the bow, its inspirational! Thanks for your lovely comments:)

Cuuuute!! Love the kitty fabric, I can see that it wouldn't have been cheap! I was in fabric shops with Chris' sis yday (she is making her own wedding dress!!) and was shocked by how much even little off cuts are!

Love the bow, great work :)

cb - Thanks for all the comments relating to my general cuteness. I thought it worked pretty well with the green also:D

Sadie - I KNOW!! Fabric seems to be quite spendy. Looking forward to the next Wellington Bric-a-brac. I think I will be looking in second hand stores for fabric as well. Very impressed that Chris' sister is making her own wedding dress. She must be an amazing sewer!
