Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: A touch of History

Today's wardrobe challenge was "A touch of history" so I decided to wear this green vintage frock I bought a few weeks ago. Whilst its new to me, I imagine it has actually existed for really rather a long time. I guess since the 1960's.

I have to admit that recently I haven't been losing that much weight on the scales, but I must be shrinking as when I first bought this dress it fit like a glove and now its a little big! I must be doing something right.
This isn't a great photo, but I wore this necklace today and it's quite old. It used to belong to a Great Aunt (or possibly Great Great Aunt?) of mine. I never knew her, but my Mum used to go and visit her in Upper Hutt and when she died, my mum got a few of her things including this old necklace.

I decided to team this green dress with red accessories and then I realised I looked a little like a Christmas tree - I guess there's worse things to look like!
In other good news, my eyes are really starting to get better finally - hurrah! I even have approval from the optician to wear my contacts with my Princess Bubblegum costume.

Hope you're all having a great week so far - its already Wednesday - this week really had flown by!

It's a lovely dress, you are gorgeous in green! With your seamstress skills, you can always take it in a tad at the sides as you drop more weight.
I like it with the red accessories, I didn't think Christmas at all! xxx

i love that dress! you look great! i don't own a scale so i judge it all based on how my clothes fit but if you are staying the same then that means you are gaining muscle which is the BEST! i love looking at my arms now that i have started surfing & swimming, they are getting so BUFF! yay! hehe

I lost 5lbs since piling it on over Xmas, but i am NOT weighing myself this week after a week of having a guest here in NZ so eating out ALL the time! Eek! haha.

The colour is delightful and the necklace is the sweetest. I like the contrast with the tights. x

Just popped over via The Secondhand Years! I hail from the Naki too! But I'm firmly rooted on Aussie soil now. The green really suits you and Yay for slimming down without really trying - whats ya secret?
