Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: This is Halloween

I still have LOTS of Wednesday Wardrobe Challenges to complete from blog friends and I will get to them all.

But this Wednesday, seen as it was Halloween, I thought I would channel Wednesday Adams for the day.
I also opened the last day of my 13 Days of Halloween swap present from Vany and guess what it was? A zombie my little pony - or perhaps that should be a my little zombie? Isn't it just amazing that Vany made this pony - he craft skills blow my mind!
Here's a close up of a few accessories - including stripey tights and a skully friend.
Guess what? I just started using pic monkey - can you tell. Here's my standard Wednesday Wardrobe challenge self portrait.
Here's my standard Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge self portrait in zombie form!
I'm basically the most smiley zombie in the history of the world.

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: Black Out!

Sorry these photos aren't the best - it's getting dark early now daylight savings have finished and also its a horrible rainy day so it's not particularly bright outside anyway!
Today's wardrobe challenge was "Black Out" - there was a time when my wardrobe was about 99% black clothes, but these days I wear a lot of colour. So it was actually hard to find an all black outfit! As you can see I didn't end up wearing entirely black - I didn't want to look too drab. It's just not my style. Normally I would wear this frock with bright tights, but today I opted for grey tights. Black tights would have just been way too much black!

I do love this frock, it's by a New Zealand Indie designer called "Kitty Bridges" - she makes really cool Harajuku - Japanese - Kawaii inspired clothes which I love. Kath, who designs the clothes is also super lovely and although I have never met her in real life we have exchanged quite a few e-mails over the past few years.
It's perfect boots weather here today! Winter is well on its way, these tights are brand new, I picked them up at Glassons over the weekend. It seems lots of stores are getting new supplies of tights in at the moment, whilst I may not love winter, I do love the thought of getting my hands on some fun new tights.
I wore the bracelet my friend Vany made me again - I wear this bracelet a LOT - its so awesome, she has such mad craft skills. She's like a craft ninja or something.
I wanted to take a picture of the swallows on my cardy but it didn't quite work out! But you get the general idea. The cardy is mohair too - which makes it really warm, I need that right now.
Finally a ring from one of my recent clothes swap mega hauls - I loved this ring  I snapped it up, but this is the first time I've actually worn it.

Well, I only have one more day of work this week and then its four glorious days of Easter fun times, my blogging has been a little lax over the past couple of weeks so I am hoping to catch up during that time. I have some exciting things to share - one involving craft and the other involving travel ! Happy Wednesday xoxox

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge - Corporate Pirate

Hello Folks! I have been a horrible blogger this week - there seems to be so much happening and so little time for blogging. I think that next week will be better *fingers crossed*.

Anyway I didn't even have a chance to do photos for Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge. The theme was Corporate Pirate and I think I pulled off the look pretty well - even if the only photo I have to prove it is this one I took with my phone.

The dress is pretty amazing, its called the "Graveyard Dress" and it designed by Kitty Bridges, who is a NZ designer who lives in Auckland and is pretty much my favourite designer in the world. If I could afford it - all my clothes would be Kitty Bridges Designs.

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge - 1950's

Today's wardrobe challenge was the 1950's - the dress I was planning to wear is a little big and needs to be altered and the other dress I could have possibly worn was still damp from washing. So I didn't end up looking very 1950's at all but I thought I would still share my outfit for the day.The dress is another Kitty Bridges creation - the dress is called Tokyo Cherry and I like it a whole lot. I've worn it in all parts of the world as its flattering and really comfortable as well. I love the pattern and the red trim.
A close up of the fabric of the dress - cherries and little blossoms.

I decided to wear the bloodied heart that Vany made for me in our 13 days of Halloween swap.
This amazing beaded cuff is also made by the amazing Vany in another 13 days of Halloween swap we did - there are four pop art inspired skulls on the cuff. I do love this hair bow and I haven't been wearing hair bows much lately - I'm not sure why, maybe because its winter and I have been wearing hats to work? Now the weather is warmer I think its time to bring back the hair bow.
I must have been making up for the lack of bows in my life in recent times as I wore bow patterned fishnet stockings as well.

Outfit Deets:

Shoes - Cotton On
Tights - I forget :P
Dress - Kitty Bridges
Cardy - Glassons
Necklace & Cuff - Made by Vany

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge (on Saturday) - Pattern Mixing

Hello All! Sorry its been a bit of a quiet week from me - I seem to have been busy each night and out till kind of late so no time for blogging, but I am now back.

This weeks Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge was "pattern mixing" which isn't something I normally do. But I did try - I worn a scarf, tights and dress all with a different pattern.
This dress is by my favourite New Zealand designer - Kitty Bridges who makes super cute Kawaii clothes. Here's some of the details of the frock - look at the details! Cuteness.

Here's some of the accessory details - I wore pink and red as well as mixing my prints!

Yellow shoes to match my yellow cardi!

Wednesday was a big day in Wellington - last Sunday New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup for the first time since the 1980's. Rugby is the "National Game" of New Zealand, I was in my twenties before I really realised that in most countries football was the "peoples game" and rugby for the private school types. In NZ rugby is the peoples game - its what all the boys play at school (the girls play netball) and its not seen as being posh in any way! So you can imagine how crazy people went when we FINALLY won the Rugby World Cup again. Here's some photos I took of the Wellington Victory Parade from my office on Wednesday - it was craziness!

My knew Kitty Bridges purchases...awaiting me upon my return to New Zealand

My favourite designer in the whole wide world in the lovely Kath from Kitty Bridges - I love her clothes so much. She makes the perfect clothes for me - the perfect marriage of creepy and cute with a touch of kawaii thrown in for good measure.

At last count I owned three of her dresses and three of her skirts - my favourite dress by far is my "Tokyo Cherry" dress.

If you follow my blog (or know me in real life) you would have seen me wearing this numerous times.
Seen as I'm going home for a couple of weeks I decided to order a couple of things from Kath and save on that international postage.

First of all is this skirt - it's called "Darkheart skirt" which appeals to me on so many levels. It's my to favourite colours and has lace and ribbon - I like it a lot!

I'm also getting this "Truelove" top - it's very sweet I think. Unfortunately Kath is out of the cute buttons used on this particular top but I am sure she will find something just as fantastic for my top.
