Today's the Big Day!
Rich starts his new job today - yah - how exciting:)
How was my weekend you may ask? Well it involved a lot of studying and a lot of movies - I've got an assignment due on the 11 August - 2 reports on readings - only 600 words each but still that's 1,500 words all up.
Plus I have to apply for my job by the 11 August as it's going permanant.
Humm....will my life ever be quiet?

Finally!!! Christchurch photos!
Well - finally a week later I have had the chance to put up the photos of our weekend in Christchurch (which already seems like a long time ago!).
These are some photos taken by the beach/pier - I can't remeber whether the beach was called New Brighton beach or just Brighton beach - either way it was a beautiful winter day and a great day to do a winter beach walk.

Just a couple of cheesy shots of us on the Tram - we took the Tram on the second day we were there - we should have really taken it on the first day - because on the second day we had already had a good walk around the central city and had seen the majority of things that the Tram drove past! Still it was a fun novelty - not every day you get to ride a tram.
A few photo's taken around the Avon River (including some near the bridges) - I have to say the Avon doesn't really cut the mustard compared to the Waikato - but it's a cute little river - and it has punting which is pretty cool.
Just a few photo's of us hanging out in cathedral square - we visted the catherdral and climbed the stairs to the top of the tower.

Bye Bye Greg
We went out last night for dinner again to say bye bye to our friend Greg...he's off to go and work in Manukau...but at least he's going to live in Auckland or Hamilton so I know that I can catch up with him when I go up there to visit other people:)

Rich's last day...
Yesterday was Rich's last day at New World so he has two days off before starting his new job on Monday - he got $100 worth of Dick Smith vouchers from his old work which is pretty cool:)
It's kind of good he has a day off as it means he will be able to go and books some of the film festival films we want to see over the weekend - It's so going to be a weekend of movies - awesome.
Last night we went and had dinner with Jaimee for her birthday at a Japanese place called Hede on Cuba street - it was so yum - we will so be going back there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAIMEE!
It's my friend Jaimee's birthday today - we're off to meet her for Japanese food somewhere on Cuba Street tonight :)
Time for an update...
Well I know normally by now I would have the photo's from Christchurch up but unfortunatly I've just not had any time to do it - hopefully I will have time over the weekend but just so busy right now I am getting pretty stressed out about everything.
Work is really busy at the moment and a full time position has come up so I will need to do a new CV to apply for it, I've also fallen behind in my readings for my study already as I had to wait so long for the book to turn up, trying to sort out Ange and Brendon's building contract as well...argh!
Plus the film festival has started and there are all these films I want to see - right now I really just feel like there is not enough hours in the day.
I know I seriously need to relax but it's just so hard right now with so much to do!
Just one more thing - it's Rich's final day at New World today!! He's starting his new job next Monday the 31st.

I'm in Christchurch this very minute!
Well Rich and I are sitting in an internet cafe in Christchurch right this minute - I couldn't find the Illicit store in Chch so decided to look up the address on the interweb - have prolly already walked past it and not noticed!
Today has been such a beautiful day down here so pretty stoked - have been to the Cathedral and walked all the stairs to the top of the tower, checked out some very cool markets, been to the gardens and generally chill-laxed out in the garden city.
Tommorrow will be punting along the Avon River and taking the Tram around town.
Yah for weekends away:)

The Fimo Empire Begins!!
Kat has offered to sell some of our crafty things at Triangle and she let me know yesterday that she has already sold two fimo brooches in the last week!
In other news - Rich has now signed up for his new job and he starts on the 31st of July - today is his last Friday at New World - which means it will be the last Friday night he's stuck working till 9pm which has to be a good thing.
His other news is he has finally booked in to get his tattoo done at the start of August!
My news is that one of our team members resigned yesterday - bad news for the team as a whole but good news for me as there will now be a permanant job in my team which I can apply for!
Also my textbook for my course has finally arrived - I am going to pick it up after work today on my way to meet the girls after work.
Well I best be off - but just one thing - I'M GOING TO CHRISTCHURCH THIS WEEKEND!
