OOTD: Birthday Presents from Rich!

I bought this vintage dress at the weekend from recycle boutique - it was pretty darn cheap and I had two comments today about the dress, so it must have been a good buy.
So today I wore the jewellery that Rich bought me for my birthday - so I thought I would share it with you.
First up is a brooch to show my love of sewing - including tiny scissors, thimble and button. Very cute.
He also got me this cute ceramic bone brooch - I really love bones! For my 30th birthday Rich bought me a sliver bone ring and not I have a bone bracelet as well - even though it looks a bit weird in this photo.

Finally, Rich bought me this DIY pop art badge kit - I love craft kits a LOT, they are pretty much one of my most favourite things ever. I love craft in general, but there is something about having EVERYTHING you need to do a project on hand in one box that appeals to my love of all things convenient.
Rich and I made up the badges over the weekend - it was a pretty simple and fun craft project. We did two each - mine are on the top row and Rich's on the bottom. I really love the little bird badge he made, especially seen as it's carrying a ribbon.

Recent Crafty Goodies

Here's a couple of things I've been up to lately. First up a little train necklace, I found this train amongst the minatures at a craft store and thought "I can make something with that". I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out - I just thought this train was too cute to pass up. I wore necklace number two today so you get an action shot - these kinds of necklaces are really popular this season. I thought they looked super easy to make so I made one! I think the next time I'll make it a little longer, although it goes perfectly with the vintage dress I wore today.
I also wanted to share some craft supplies I bought recently from esty. First of all this little Alice in Wonderland pendant. I think it's really cute but I am not sure what I will do with it just yet. I am thinking I may make a brooch, but I am open to other ideas too.
Next up are these little Japanese girl pendants which I just think are so cute - I am thinking I will make at least one set into earrings. I have talked about my love of Russian dolls before - so I am pretty happy with this purchase. I want to make a charm bracelet with these little ladies. The photo isn't the best but trust me they are adorable.
Finally, these tiny little bottles - they may not look too exciting - but I have big plans for these from my Witch Craft Book.

Pay it forward swap - project number one

This year I decided to take part in the pay it forward challenge and here is my first little project, I made this anchor necklace for Rai and Blargle Fargle.

I follow Rai's blog and I thought this necklace would suit her style - so I really hope she likes it. I also made a little Hello Kitty box for her to keep the necklace in. I bought this Hello Kitty Oragami paper when Rich and I were in Japan and I have used it in so many projects - I really wish I had bought more as I am quickly running out of this adorable paper.
