Travel memories Tuesday - Robot Museum!
Last week I read Lara's post about her visit to the Ayashii Shone Museum she visited on her recent trip to Japan and it made me think of the many "pop culture" style museums I visited when we lived in Korea. One of these was the Robot Museum, which is exactly what the title suggests. A museum of robots! There was a big focus on robots in pop culture - like to amazing robots in Metropolis. But also more modern robots as well, like the robot that could "teach" English. I think he was trying to steal our jobs. If you like robots, weird stuff or pop culture and you're in Seoul you should visit the robot museum. I would LOVE to go again.

Gifts from Asialand
Here's some recent gifts I've recieved from some of my lovely friends in asialand!
First of all here's some lovely things my friend Lisa bought me when she came to visit.
This cute big bow hairband - I have a lot of skull accessories, but this is my first skull headband. I really love it.

Next up is this kissing giraffe bracelet - this is my new favourite accessory. Super cute.
Finally is this little Kuromi soap! I have had it for a while now but I just can't bring myself to use it. Although the wee Kuromi inside is actually a pencil topper so it won't melt away.
Here's my new Hello Kitty handcream and sparkly Hello Kitty eyeshadow. You can even see the inprint of kitty in the eyeshadow compact if you look carefully.
She also sent me a whole bunch of "service" items - basically in Korea when you buy cosmetics you get "service" which means you get a whole bunch of free samples when you buy something. Its pretty rad - I really miss it. Customer service in Korea is SO much better than here in New Zealand. I guess that's what happens when you have a big population and loads of competition.
Finally - here's a portrait of me drawn by Dani - Super Kawaii.

Expat Women
Recently, I came across a really interesting website called Expat Women which is a really useful website for women living anywhere in the world.
My favourite part is the blog section, so often when I search for blogs based in South Korea or anywhere else I may be considering working or travelling to, I often feel bombarded and can't find a blog that is particulary interesting to me.
However, most of the blogs on this website are great and it's really nice that they are all from a women's perspective - make a nice chnage!
I have now submitted this blog to the website for South Korea - a little nervous that my wee blog will be on a website like this but hopefully some people will take an interest in my ramblings!
