Things go from bad to worse - I think I am due to have some good luck soon!!
So it's painful on both the bank balance and the mouth - my first dentist's appointment will be 90 minutes long to have a whole bunch of fillings done. I have to have it done ASAP though as one of my teeth is getting really close to being a root canal which is something I really don't want done.
I said to the dentist that I had no idea that my teeth were that bad and he said that most people don't really feel any pain in their teeth until it's really serious...hummm....I guess it's good to get them before they are too nasty but not something you really want to pay for when you're saving for a house and a massive amount of Christmas Travel and the general expensive of Christmas.
Well - that's enough of a spazz out about that - but I'm sure there will be numerous nervous posts on here prior to me having the three (yes!! three!!) appointments I have to have to fix my teeth.
I've been going through a bit of a down cycle of late - what with my supposed endo (I still haven't heard anything from the hospital in regard to my operation) and a number of different little things that have gone wrong in the last year....I think it's about time I had some good luck in my life!!

Well that was a pretty average weekend...
Anyways I think it was sunstroke because I woke up on Sunday morning feeling fine - not that I could actually go and do anything because it rained all day!! I did some fimo, some cross-stitch and also I read and read and read.
In the afternoon we did actually go out and do something, Nankz came and picked us up and we went to Midnight Expresso to have a coffee (well hot chocolate actually) with Nankz & Paul. After coffee it was time to go and watch "Fast Food Nation" as there was a screening for Paul's professional body (he's a dietician). It was a really good movie, and excellent movie, but it was one of those movies that made you just realise basically how f*cked everything in the world is. The worst scene was the butchery "Kill Floor" scene at the very end - most of which I just couldn't even bring myself to watch because it was just so disgusting (this coming from someone who can watch hours of zombie/horror flicks) and it made me so glad that it has been years I have eaten beef (or pork or lamb) although it made me question the fact that I am eating chicken and fish and made me think maybe I could go full vego - because I don't think that chicken's in fact get treated much better than cows.
Anyways - enough from me - I have to get ready for work - and I have to go to the dentist today (joy!).

Another Friends Blog...
Also - yah it is Saturday morning. The girls are aqua jogging this morning but I'm not really feeling up to it as it has been a bit of a rough week (I didn't even get to go and see Superette last night like I wanted too because I was feeling so tired).
Oh well I went to the Doctor yesterday and I got some more meds though so hopefully I will be on the right track again, and I hope I won't get too tired at Celia's party tonight.

Subversive Cross Stitch!!
I got the book a while ago and Mella, Rich & I went out to Spotlight over the weekend to get a few crafty bits and pieces and I got the stuff to start my first Subversive Cross Stitch project (the "Please Kill me" design).
Then yesterday my "WTF?" kit arrived in the mail - along with a badge and a few other bits and pieces.
I've stared the the "Please kill me" design and it seems to be working out pretty well considering I haven't done cross-stitch in over 10 years.

The long weekend is nearly over...
Anyways it was a pretty good long weekend - it was great to catch up with Conor and Sue over the weekend and celebrate Sue's Birthday at Strawberry Fare (even if it was the worst service EVER!!).
Also managed to finally get my hair cut and coloured over the course of the weekend, I saw a play at Bats with Conor, Sue and Rich and also helped Kat with her stall at Craftwerk.
Well - anyways - here's some photo's from Sue's Birthday dinner :)

Yah! Today is Friday!!
Sue is flying into Wellington today at 7pm - so we're all going out to Harem tonight for dinner, coffee, dessert or whatever - It's going to be fun:)
Thursday, October 19, 2006
Well I'm not feeling much better but I've cheered up a bit...
Also, Conor, Sue and Alaina have decided to come down to Wellington for New Years - which is fantastic - it will be fun to have them down here and also it will make it cheaper for us during the busy christmas time with all the other traffic we have to do!
Also - yesterday - I got the new Phillipa Gregory book from Whitcoulls for half price in their sale! Woohoo!! But I still need to get a Young Adults book for book club next month...hummm...
Well time for a shower and get ready for work - 'sigh'

Still not feeling that great...
I am getting majorly frustrated by the whole thing - in particular my inability to exercise. I'm finding this SO frustrating. I had to work so hard to lose weight and get my level of fitness up and now I feel like I am losing my fitness - my alarm still goes off early but I feel like I just can't get out of bed which sucks so much - It's the worse feeling in the world. My routine used to be to get up at 5:45am and go to the gym for an hour before work and I am struggling to do it. Last week I managed to get up early and exercise three times which made me feel a lot better - but I've not been able to get up at all this week and it's making life really hard.
I seriously don't want to keep losing my fitness and I don't want to put on weight (which is of course what happens when you don't exercise)....I just hope I get my operation soon...

Another day off work for me grrr...
I just try and keep telling myself that there are people out there that are a hell of a lot worse off than myself - I mean at the end of the day endo won't kill me but it's just seriously bringing me down.
Oh well that's enough depressing talk from me for now - hopefully I will feel up to going to the office tommorrow - there's only so much hanging out at home by yourself you can do before you start going completely stir crazy (especially when you live in a little cave like I do).

Wind Turbine
A photo taken approaching the wind turbine - this thing is massive! You really have no idea just how big it is until you're up close!
A photo of Rich and I under the turbine - it's so loud standing under this thing!
Another foggy view of the wind turbine!
Just a scenic view of Wellington on the way up to the wind turbine
A photo of me standing under the wind turbine - it was seriously windy! Photo of me in front of the Wellington scenery Rich & Me in front of some Welly Scenery Rich standing at the base of the wind turbine.

Saturday morning at last...
But this week I actually managed to go to the gym 3 times which was fantastic - I know I used to be able to go 6 times a week no worries but these days I really struggle to go most days because I don't feel good at all so going 3 times in one week is a really good effort for me.
Well what am I up to this weekend? I was orginally going to go to Nats Rocky Horror Party tonight but after paying for a whole bunch of the stuff for the horror party, a couple of birthdays presents as well as uni course fees I am too poor to go - because it's a rocky horror party and I really can't afford to get a costume together, present, drinks..."sigh".
So instead we have decided that we will go to a gig up at the Carter Observatory tonight - with Dukes of Leisure and another band that Rich's old tutor from Natcol is in - so it should be a good gig with an interesting venue.
Last night Rich and I went to dinner at Ross' and watched "Land of the Dead" with him which was pretty cool - so we watched "Dawn of the Dead" last weekend and the sequel this weekend which was quite cool. Hopefully Ross enjoyed it - I don't know if it was really his bag!
Today I'm off up to the Women's Room for a while and then going to meet the girls and go for a walk along the waterfront, which will be good, hopefully it's not too windy out there - looks pretty overcast right now but I hope it's not windy - you can never really tell down in this little cave we live in.
Tommorrow I think Rich & I are going for a daywalk and in the afternoon I am catching up with Jo & Nats and going to the beach to hang out for a bit (like we used to do in our 7th form days) and then in the evening I am going to finally catch up with Mella - she's invited us to her new house on The Terrace which sounds really fantastic - I can hardly wait to see it!
Well I best go and get organised to go to the Women's Room or I'll be late!!

General Update....
Well on Friday Jess asked me for a drink and Ross asked me to some dance thing at the New Zealand Film archive but I decided I really couldn't go to either. The last week or so my "sort of" endo has got quite bad again "sigh" and I am shortly going to run out of my painkillers so back to the Dr for me again I guess....I dread to think how much money I have spend on Dr's since this whole "supposed" endo thing has happened to me.
Anyways - because I wasn't up to being my usual social self on Friday Rich and I decided to get out a couple of DVD's but we have only watched one so far going to watch the other one tonight. The one we watched on Friday night was called "Dig" and it was basically the story of the Dandy Warhol's and another band called the "Brian Jonestown Masscre" who were basically their best mates and then sort of rivals...it was a really interesting movie actually....we were going to see it at the cinema but just never got there so it was good to finally see it.
But on Friday night I did get a text from Mariella saying that she had made it to Wellington safe and she is now at her sister's in Khandallah - which is really cool - I can't wait to see her at the Horror dinner party on Friday if not before.
Anyways Saturday was slightly more productive than Friday - I got up and went to the Women's Room at 10 and finished off my book for bookclub when I was there, then I went to meet the usual posse (Jess, Ange, Celia, Georgie & Jaqui) at The Goblin Cafe for lunch - there was discussion of a girls night involving the chocolate fountain that Celia got for her engagement party and cocktails...could be a very fun night but also very dangerous on the waistline.
I then went down to the Occidental to catch up with Jo and Cindy for a drink. It was good to catch up with those two - except it doesn't sound like Jo is having much luck with her stinky landlord at the moment.
Then last night Rich and I went out, we started off with dinner at Katipo and then went for a walk along the waterfront for a bit - it was a beautiful night and although windy - not crazy windy!
We then headed over to Bats for the play we were seeing called "Yours Truely". When I booked the tickets for the play I didn't realise it was 2 hrs 20 mins long - which seems like a really long time....but this play is absolutely fantastic and the time moves pretty quickly (plus unlike a movie you do get intermission!).
The play was the story of JackThe Ripper (well at least one of the theories of Jack the Ripper) and it was fantastic - it was completely intense but the actors were all amazing and really drew you into the story and in parts it was scary as hell! I would recomend that everyone go and see it - I think it's the best play I have ever seen.
Today we didn't do that much - ended up getting up quite late due to daylight savings upsetting my sleep pattern a bit. We did a big walk out to Brooklyn to check out a really cutie cutie house. Then went and had lunch in a cafe in Brooklyn - we began to walk up to the wind turbines - but then the rain really set in and although we are used to walking in rain this was really soaking us so decided to head back down and have a hot choc at the cafe at the movie theatre in Brooklyn instead and walk home when the rain had stopped.
When we got home I set up the blog for the "Reclaim the Night" march - which seemed to take forever...but the link for it is below - I think I did an ok job - I am pretty used to blogging now days after all -
www.wellingtonreclaimthenight.blogspot.com
So tonight we are watching the other DVD we got out on Friday - It's called "Suspiria" and it's an Italian Zombie film - apparently it's meant to be scary as Hell - In fact the cover said "The only thing scarier than the last 12 minutes of this film is the first 81". It's one of those cult horrors I have been meaning to watch forever but have never quite got there so it will be good to finally see it.
Anyways best sign off - I've been writing this whilst making tea at the same time and it should be done shortly then it will be Suspiria time!
