I do LOVE a good swap! Recently Penny over at Dresses & Me ran a winter swap which is perfect for all of us Southern Hemisphere folk (and those in the Northern Hemisphere too, if they were thinking wintery growth) so I signed up straight away.
My partner was the lovely Sandra of Sewist Stitch - here's the lovely goodies I received! First up is this lining fabric -I'm planning on making a cape this month as part of The Monthly Stitch Cape Challenge, perhaps this will be my lining fabric?
This lovely pinstripe suiting is much darker in real life (curse you long winter nights!). I have been considering making a vest for a while, perhaps I could make it from this fabric - or maybe another A-line skirt?
Finally this beautiful satin fabric - I love this so much and I'm not sure what I want to do with it, maybe a lovely maxi frock in anticipation of summer? A new nightie and dressing gown?
I asked Sandra for buttons in my swap package and look what she sent me - so many buttons!
My favourite? These tiny elephant buttons - too cute. Sandra bought them whilst on a trip through Africa which makes them even more special.
Thanks to Penny for organising such a fun swap and Sandra for my lovely package - I can't wait to make something with that lovely satin fabric!
