Girliest Cafe - EVER!

On Sunday Rich and I went out for a walk in Uijeongbu and came across what must be the "girliest cafe ever" it's call "Ann House" and it's full of pink girly goodness! It's the kind of place I would have loved to have taken my craft group and they make an awesome green tea milkshake.

A day at the nail salon

A friend of a friend opened a nail salon in Seoul this weekend - so Rich and I went along to help give them a great first days business.

Here's a couple of photo's - the first is of us during our paraffin treatment and the second is of my amazing skull nails when the nail technician was finished - she is a total artist!

13 Days of Halloween Swap

So before I left New Zealand I signed up for a "13 days of Halloween Swap" this is a pretty HUGE swap! Basically you have to make your partner a package for the 13 days leading up to Halloween - I send the first part of my partner package before I left New Zealand and I am sending the final part tommorrow.

This is the package that I recieved from my partner Glamis (from Germany) as you can see it's a pretty huge box - I'm really spoiled.

Today I got to open my day 13 package and I was really excited to recieve an amazing skull bowl full of yummy German chocolate.

She even included a package for Rich - but he is being very good and waiting until Halloween to open it.
You may be wondering what I made my partner for day 13 of the swap? Well I decided to make 13 Skull and Crossbones soaps. They came out surprisingly well I thought.

Another day in Insadong

Last Sunday Rich and I went to Nakwon arcade so that he could buy a new guitar to find that the arcade was closed so we decided to take the chance to spend the rest of the afternoon in lovely Insadong which is one of my favourite parts of Seoul.

We visited a few of the quirky stores, including a store which sold recycled hand crafted items including the "Rilla" I bought a Rilla made from an old T- shirt but here's some photo's of us with some slightly larger Rilla's.

A bit later on we headed out for some dinner and found the most amazing restuarant - it was like a cross between a restaurant and a tea house and had the most amazing interior and delicious tea.

After dinner we decided to head home but then we came across another amazing muesuem called "Toto" which is another shrine to pop culture - this place had so many amazing collectables. Including an Alice Cooper doll! You never know what you might find on a day out in Seoul.

Another English friends trip!

Each month our GEPIK - the english programme that Rich and I are involved in arrange for a trip for it's english and native Korean teachers.

This month we got to visit Songanri old tombs, Gongju National Museum and Gongsanseong Fortress.

There was even time for archery and an appearance on Korean TV roasting chestnuts!
