Our first "hike" in Uijeongbu
A couple of weekends ago Rich and I decided to do a walk in the hills behind our house - it was a pretty amazing walk and along the way we came across some old military bunkers as well as a buddist temple - only in Korea!

The decision has been made and Japan it is!
During winter Rich and I get two whole weeks off school and we have been wondering what to do with that time - there are so many places near South Korea that are easily accessible that it's hard to decide where to go and what to do! But we finally made a decision (I think!) and that decision is to head over to Japan. So far we have decided Toyko is the place to be but I also really want to go and see the Japanese snow monkeys but I am not sure how practical that will be in a trip of a week to ten days. Well I will keep you all up to date with our planning - I can hardly wait for our holiday.
11 November - Pepero Day!
Last week it was Pepero Day in South Korea? What is Pepero you ask? Well they are biscuit sticks covered in Chocolate a lot like Japanese Pocky if you've ever had them.
Pepero day has a bit of a Valentines Day vibe but you give Pepero to EVERYONE instead of just your significant other and everyone includes your teacher so Rich and I came home with quite a few boxes of Pepero! Here's a few photo's of the stash.

The rest of the Halloween craft swap
I've been really bad at posting the rest of the pictures of the items I recieved for the 13 days of Halloween stuff which is a shame as I recieved so much amazing stuff. It's a shame I don't get to open a new package of Halloween goodness every single day anymore. Anyway here's what I recieved - a long sleeved shirt with a bat print bleached onto it, cute Hello Kitty craft diary, goth stickers, super cut little bat clips, skull headband, skull wristband and badges, tiny toy chainsaw, brain box, gothic lolita Hello Kitty, "Goodbye Kitty"" skull earrings, black beaded bracelet, hand carved stamps (I love these!), blackboard, a pair of spats (I've always wanted spats!), a pair of bloomers which are awesome and finally a cute rockabilly skull skirt (the picture is awful but the skirt is amazing!).

Flight of the Navigator
Recently we attended a film festival and saw a childhood favourite on the big screen - "Flight of the Navigator" it was good to see it on the big screen and the story hadn't lost much of it's appeal over the years.

After the movie we weere about to leave when one of the usher's told us that if we wanted to stick around we could meet the director, Randal Kleiser and listen to him speak about the movie. Here's a photo of us two of us with the director and a model of the spaceship from the film.
