On the second day of our holiday we decided to have a bit of a quieter day, the morning was spent exploring more of Dunedin city itself. Including all the old buildings at the University and around town in general.
In the afternoon we decided to head out to Port Chalmers for lunch to a place called "Tall Poppies"that was recommended to us by some of the locals - the meals were amazing and were followed up by the most EXTREME dessert ever! (We did share this beast of chocolately goodness).
Once we had finished our lunch we decided to head around for a bit more of a look and see what Port Charmers had to offer - it is a very cute little place and has lots of cute second hand and crafty style stores.
We climbed to the top of a hill and when we got there discovered as well as an amazing view we had also discovered a sculpture park with some pretty amazing works.
In the evening when we returned to Dunedin we took part in a ghost tour of the city which was amazing - we even had some added extra's - like a local bar owner showed us the uber creepy basement he has just found in the bar he was renovating. The ghost tour host seemed to be known universally around town as "Ghostie"and he had some pretty gross and amazing stories to tell. I loved it - no ghosts to be seen but it was still a lot of creepy fun.
