Hello World and Happy Easter!

Hello World - I have been absent for a while as I've been in Auckland spending time with my friend Lisa who has been visiting from Taiwan. She's returned home now (boo!) but I do have a whole bunch of photo's and stories to share from our adventure.

Starting out with the photo's below! My plane was really late into Wellington (never fly Jet Star!) so I missed meeting Lisa when she landed in Auckland which I felt pretty bad about.

However when we got into Auckland it was a beautiful day - perfect for a late lunch at the viaduct.

We spend the rest of the afternoon just having a look around Auckland - including Aotea square. Later in the evening we took part in the Auckland Ghost Tour - the tour guide could spin a pretty good yarn. But I wish that the tour guide had told us more about the history of Auckland - many of the stories he told related to recent history. Although he knew a lot of creepy stories about hotels/backpackers around the city - luckily ours wasn't one of them!

Well, I'll be back with more of our trip soon - until then - Happy Easter!

Ooo sounds like a fun time!

I used to be a ghost tour guide in historic Gettysburg. I bet I could creep you out good.

Jet star is one of the 4 Killjoy names for MCR'S Danger Days.

Meg - A ghost tour guide? That would be an awesome job! I would love to do that.

Helga! - There will be more pics for sure - I took like over 160 on my camera alone. I would love to meet you for a coffee in Wellington. That would be rad:)

CB - Auckland is a great city and my friend Lisa who is from Orange County said it reminds her of SF too:)

It actually pays really well. Usually between 8-10 an hour plus tips. Downside going out in thunderstorms which is what made me quit. But I was REALLY good at my job (being an ex theater student)
