Recent Weekend Fun Times

Hi All - Just thought I'd give you a bit of an update on some of the things that Rich and I have been up to over the past few weekends. First of all, we went to the Inverlochy House open day. Inverlochy House is a wee community art school which has all kinds of short courses, Rich and I have both done courses here in the past and I would really like to do a silver jewellery making course here sometime in the near future.
Inside the house they had a wall of wee chalkboard that all the visitors to the house were welcome to draw on - which I thought was a really fun idea.
Here's Rich drawing on one of the chalkboards - we both did a design - I chose the most tiny chalkboard of all and did a heart.
Also, recently we spend another beautiful weekend at the waterfront. This was a bit of a strange day actually - there were lots of schools of tiny fish in the harbour, being chased by larger fish and the larger fish and smaller fish were being chased by sea birds! It was like the food chain unfolding in front of our eyes.
On the same day we stopped at the Waitangi Park Markets for lunch - this was my delicious lunch, Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken goodness! That pottle to the right is some yummy spicy sauce - one of the best take out meals I have ever had.
Here's the view I had whilst I ate my lunch - I kind of like this photo.
Finally recently Rich and I went to the Aro Fair - Aro Valley is the suburb in Wellington we used to live before we lived overseas. It was a bit of a bad day weather wise,  so I think I lot of the stall holders didn't turn up - but I did like this mural. So nice to see bright colours on a grey day.

I love the wall of chalkboards. Such a cute idea. Wellington has such good markets.

Those chalk boards are so cute! I'm going to make some to put up in my house, I think.
