A couple of weekends ago it was Rich's birthday, it was also the eve of Taiwan's double ten day and there were so many preparations going on throughout the city for the big day. Including these city arches being lit up so brightly they looked more like Christmas trees.
We ended up having dinner at Ximending, which is one of my favourite areas of Taipei. There's a lot of great restaurants here and shopping. As well as the occassional street performer and at the weekend there is a cool artists market.
We also paid a visit to the Taipei Cinema Park that night, they were showing some kind of film (or it was possibly a music video) outdoors with subtitles.
We finished up the night watching a movie at the cinema park area of Taipei - I can't quite remeber the name of the area but there a huge movie theatre's like this one everywhere.
