Fast Times in Melbourne

I have had a pretty quiet weekend this weekend - because I've been recovering from my Melbourne trip and preparing for my Napier trip next weekend.

So here's a few photos of my trip to Melbourne - hopefully its not a photo overload for all of you!

Pretty spring blooms!

If you have read my blog for a while, you'll know I am a huge fan of street art. This is so simple, but beautiful.








You may or may not know that Melbourne is famous for its food! Here's some of the food we ate whilst I was over there. The other lovely lady in the photos is Alaina who is one of my oldest and best friends.

Here's a few photos of things I liked about the city - included yarn bombing!

On Sunday Alaina and I headed off to Mount Dandenong with my cousin Mel, we stopped off in a cute little town called Olinda for a spot of shopping and lunch.




We visited the National Australian Rhododendron Gardens whilst we were in Mount Dandenong.



On my last day in Melbourne I decided to go to the aquarium and walked there along the Yarra River.




I pretty much love all aquariums - but the Melbourne one had an amazing penguin display and some amazing jellyfish.



I spent my final afternoon in Melbourne at St Kilda which is a small seaside settlement, which is only a short tram ride from the city. I still thought it was cold enough to wear a jacket but some hearty souls were swimming.
