Strawberry Frock

Today I'm not going to work - yah! Our friends Ross and Shelley are getting tomorrow in Taranaki (better known as the Naki! Namely - where I grew up!) so we are flying to New Plymouth today.

I just wanted to show you a quick post of what I made to wear to the wedding - I made it over two evenings after work and I think it turned out pretty well.

I made the dress with fabric I bought from Arab Street in Singapore and I had JUST enough to make this dress (I bought 2.5 metres) and the dress is called "The Opera Dress" - it's one of the dresses in my new sewing book "Chic & Simple Sewing".

Have a great weekend all xoxo

  2. You look great in that dress girly!! :) What fun fabric. I'm gonna have a look for some cool fabric when I'm in Melbourne in March, Spotlight doesn't have much I like at the moment!
